Years in the making, Eric Koston's third Nike Skateboarding pro model surfaced this week, a significant design departure not just for the Koston line, but for skate shoes in general. Today we get another look at the Nike SB Hyperfeel Koston 3, and its singularity still doesn’t disappoint.
The shoe’s upper pairs durable suede with light, breathable seamless mesh, topping out in a sock-like hightop collar that calls to mind the Kobe VII or Flare. We haven’t gotten a look at that sole yet, but “Hyperfeel” indicates it should be thin Lunarlon stacked on a minimalist Free-like outsole, combining plush cushioning with superior board-feel.
The Nike SB Hyperfeel Koston 3 has started turning up at Nike SB accounts in Asia, so a stateside release should be just around the corner. Stay tuned.
